Ms. Farhia Mohamed Yusuf

Board Member

Ms. Farhia Mohamed Yusuf is a seasoned academician and professional governance and finance expert. Over the last two decades, she has worked with various civil society, international, and federal-level institutions and supported them in a variety of capacities, ranging from technical to strategic-level positions. Her domains of expertise are financial management, governance, conflict resolution, electoral management, and socio-economic development.

With her extensive working experience in financial management and academia, Farhia has held key roles in organizations such as FPENS and WAHA International, where she managed financial and administrative responsibilities, gaining deeper expertise in compliance, reporting, and budgeting. This sector-specific experience will be instrumental for CBS’s ongoing reforms agenda. 

Prior to her appointment as CBS Board Member, Ms. Farhia worked with the Southwest Reconciliation Technical Committee as a peace, conflict resolution, and governance expert. 

She has Bachelor’s Degree in economics from Mogadishu University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University of Malaysia and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Peace, Governance, and Development at the University of Peace.
