At the Government Institutions Performance Accountability Ceremony, the Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) was honored with a National Excellence Award for its strong institutional performance during the first half of 2025.

The award was presented by the President of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, together with Prime Minister H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, during the closing of the national accountability program held at the Office of the Prime Minister.

This recognition comes as part of the government’s wider performance review and the launch of the new Government Institutions Performance Monitoring Unit, which is designed to strengthen accountability and service delivery across the public sector.

CBS’s recognition reflects its unwavering commitment to accountability, transparency, and sound governance in fulfilling its mandate to safeguard financial stability and advance Somalia’s economic development.
